The Early Development Instrument is a Canadian-made research tool, developed at Offord Centre for Child Studies at McMaster University and has been used in BC since 1999. For more information see EDI Fact Sheet or visit the Human Early Learning Partnership website.
Revelstoke has participated in the Early Development Instrument research since 2001/2002 and have information from 6 "Waves" of data. EDI data assists us in our planning and work with children and young families by identifying strengths and needs in our community. Each wave of data information provides the Revelstoke Early Childhood Development Committee with important information about the experiences of children and families in our community.
